This unit was all about geometry and perspective, a little bit of shading too. it was a little bit hard for me because I dont have the skill to actually achieve my goal into drawing what I want to draw. Which in this case was a cheesecake. It just turned out to be a 2D drawing without any shading because like I said, I don't have the skill for this. It was a little bit enjoyable since it's always fun to draw but unfortunately I didn't have the patience to do this because I know that it's not going to turn out good.

This project was honestly in my opinion was the most boring one. I don't really like embroidery because i'm just not the type of person to enjoy sewing. But I made a design that I made up and doesn't mean anything. It does require some skills to sew but once you get the hang of it you're going to be set. I used the hoop to secure the sheet and used the needle and the embroidery floss to stitch. And that was basically the whole project. Using other stitching techniques.
There were 2 blocks that were used during this project, the printing block and the linoleum. We practiced on the printing block and learned some skills which we then transferred onto the linoleum. We used The carving tool to carve anything we want then we rolled the brayer onto the ink and painted the blocks. It was a nice project overall and would do it again. Pottery was one of the best units I have ever experienced in art because it not only made me feel calm but creative. The structures that I made and molding the clay was the best part. And since I kind of like making things and molding them I feel that we should have another unit on this. I was more focused in actually making structures rather than painting. I made a plate, a mug and a bowl with a spoon rest. Its pretty cool that you can make something like this out of clay. This was then fired and then glazed with whatever color you want. I chose the turquoise paint with the little rocks which melted and added a little cool spot effect because I was curious to see what it would look like. That plate aint my though..... idk who's that is... My plate was the same color as my bowl and mug

Birthday: January 1, 1864 Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, Alfred was the eldest of six children. studied to be a mechanical engineer, he purchased his first camera in 1882. I hear leaves rustling I smell Grass and pine I need a snack I am going into the woods I feel the wind I want a little bit more of this painting. Dear Jake Mckee, I am writing to you from landscape. Where have you been my guy its lit out here. I've been walking through the woods and it feels like Im in a movie. The cool breeze blowing with the smell of nature you'll have a blast. This is probably one of the coolest walks i've ever done. Everywhere I go theres green, it is filled with life but I see no animals yet. And hopefully I dont get mauled by a bear my guy that would be horrible. From, EGGY This acrylic painting was something I was pretty proud of since the colors turned out pretty well. And it all just came together, I didn't really look at a picture for this and kind of used my imagination and past artworks that I saw. I tried to copy one artwork but added a little twist to it. In conclusion this one was probably one of my best artwork yet.
This is my illuminated letter. The ink that we used was kind of hard to use since sometimes the ink gets too concentrated and just bleeds through the paper. There would sometimes be imbalances on my ink work. But overall the challenge of using the ink kind of made it fun
The upside down man was pretty easy because you're only drawing lines and not the whole thing all at once. So by doing that it makes you think that your just drawing lines instead of trying to figure out how to draw certain details of the picture. Drawing on the right side of the brain was really hard since you know what you’re going to draw except your hand is in a paper bag but your looking at your hand the whole time. It’s like drawing with you eyes closed. Personally I didn’t like this activity because you can’t see what you’re drawing and you’re going to expect something good but when it comes out it looks horrible, terrible, every word that you can think of to criticize yourself. |
